So what are some really good hop-up items for the 500H.O. motor?

If stock is 38HP......

1. how much would the motor make with a simply filter and exhaust change?

2. Power output with (1) combined with a cam and head porting?

3. Who makes a turbo kit? IIRC there used to be turbo kits floating around on the internet. What kind of power would you get with (1) (2), and forced induction?

Just trying to get an idea of what I could do to my Scramber to get it to move. After a weekend on my 160HP 900RMK sled, the 'ol Scrammy felt weak...[img]i/expressions/brokenheart.gif[/img]

With a exhaust and high flow filter probably around 2hp increase. With a exhaust, high flow filter, cam & head porting your probably going to see around a 6hp increase. I don't know anyone that makes a turbo kit for the 500. I had to fab my turbo from scratch on my Sportsman. Heres a couple tips for you if you do decide to go with a turbo. Don't buy a big cam with alot of overlap this will hurt your performance. And if you port the head for the turbo don't port the intake to a mirror finish it needs to be a little ruff to bust up the fuel. The exhaust side of the head needs to have a mirror finish.
