I don't know if others have experienced this but when I hit a series of whoops hard with the throttle wide open my TB seems to bog at times without me letting off the throttle. It makes it real hard to keep the front end up when that happens and I have to back off.

It almost sounds as if gas flow is being restricted as a result of the repetitious hopping caused by whoops. I plan on adding pipe and clutch mods and wonder if they will help this situation.
Maybe I'm expecting too much out of it. I used to ride a YZ250 mx bike and of course the power, weight and handling cannot compare to the TB but There are alot of whoop trails where I ride (Croom Florida) so this is something that I'd like to figure out.

I've never had that problem with my Blazer on whoops, of course I can't hit them very well anyway. The stock suspension just isn't made to do them well and it starts bouncing around and that causes me to drop the front end. A lot of it is experience on my part as well.........

www.denniskirk.com has a "PC Racing carburetor vent system", and here's what it says in the catalog in front of me:" Inexpensively ensures consistent carburetion, even over supercross style whoops, by venting standard carburetor vent hoses upward to eliminate vapor lock and bogging", and has everything for one bike/quad, T-connectors, tubing, vent box and foam filter. It costs $15.99, but I don't know how it works. Check it out.....

Thanks fasternu,

That sounds like the problem I'm having. Only problem is thier on-line catalog says "No Filters, Airbox, Parts, & Vents in Catalog" for a 00 TB. But at least it makes me feel better figuring it's not my fault (other than taking whoops to hard)

Order the ATV and DIRTBIKE catalog from them. I think their site is a horror show. The vent systems are universal, here's the part numbers. 17-0664 for blue, 17-0665 for red, 17-0666 for black, and 17-0667 for the twin-carbed banshee. If by some chance you have thier '99 catalog kickin' around, its on page 141

Thanks fastrnu! You were right. I called tech support and they told me the black or blue would work. I ordered the black (17-0666).

Thanks again for the help.

I know all about their website, last week I ordered a conecting rod kit for a blaster, but instead they sent me one for a banshee. of course, since it cost twice as much as what I paid for, they were happy to exchange it.
