I just got a new Warn RT2500 winch with mounting plate Warn part # 73680 and went to install it and after pulling all the crap off the front of mine the mounting plate does not seem to fit correctly. It seems way too wide and none of the holes line up. The instrcutions for the plate say it fits Sportsman models: 02 700, 03 600 & 700, 04 400,500,600,700, 05 400,500,600,700,800, 06 450,500,700,800,X2. Any ideas? I didnt think that the plates for 04s and older were compatible with 05up. But it says it right on the Warn instructions. Im at a loss. See pic-(if it works)

go here and you can see that the different years have differnt part numbers - I think you the wrong mount

Hmm - it does look like they gave me the wrong part #. Its really weird that it says it fits my model on the instructions. Oh well, ill see what they can do for me (Ebay seller) thanks for the help!

Actually now that I look at it, that part # ( 68573 ) looks to be a special # for the mount and bumper combo. Below it they list the 04 1/2 600 part # as 73680! Which is the one I have! Im lost..

 

Am I correct in thinking the 2 end holes on each side are suppossed to line up with the holes that support the rack on the front of the atv? That it should set in between the bars that support the front rack right???

yeh it should and i see what you mean about the other part number - I just checked another "supplier" and the also list the mount you have - im lost too now I guess. But the one you have does not look like its the right one at all
