Default Polaris Quads - Oil In Airbox

This is what my SP 800 looks like after a hard day of riding, look at all this oil in the airbox and the oil level IS correct, it's not over full

Change the oil NOW, it is probably diluted by gas going past the rings under hard load.

I wish I lived in a larger community so I could have the oil analysed for its contents. It only makes sense that if oil was found in the airbox but the oil level on the dip was still up, something has replaced the missing oil. One day my quad pulled about 5 oz up in two hours and I had checked it before I left and it was just below full. I had been riding hard with the tracks on.

i have had 2 800's and beat hell out of them and never had oil in my air box. there is an issue some where. just seems like either too much oil or too much pressure of some sorts.

The only oil in the box is what it seen "splattered" there is NO oil in the "sump" so it's only about 1 tablespoon IF that. I'm gonna go talk to the dealer and see what kind of "run a around" they are going to give me.

Stendori:

The oil in the airbox seems to happen after a sustained load such as 3/4 + throttle pulling hard but not fast on a long slow climb. Has to been near full thottle and creating a low pressure area in the airbox. Over full with oil would be the most reasonable explanation but that has not been the case.

Well, that would probably cause the low pressure (partial vacuum) in the airbox and draw some oil splash in.
