Default Battery Tender

Hey guys, my mom is looking to get a trickle charger for her boyfriend for his motorcycle. i was wondering which one she would be a good one and what prices they range?

i saw an atv trickle charger in Cabella's for like $29.99. are the trickle chargers vehicle specific, or can an atv one be used on a motorcycle?

thanks for the info.

The same ones for a motorcycle should work for an atv. They just use a low amperage to charge the battery.

I purchased a trickle charger from Wal-mart for $19.99, can't remember the brand. If you're interested I can check tonight when I get home. Anyways, I don't think you need to spend that much. Mine has worked great for years.

Just remember which ever one you get :

""MAKE SURE"" that is shuts off and turns back on (maintains the battery to full charge)
Some of the cheaper ones will keep a small trickle charge on the battery the whole time it is plugged in the wall!!!!.....These are no good and will drop the level in the battery!!

I just picked up a Black and Decker one at Walyworld for $20. It comes with clips, ring terminals, or an cigarette lighter adapter that all have a quick disconnect.

i got a really nice one from napa for about 30-35 . fully automatic you just plug it in and it will turn itself on/off when it wants. you can use it on anything from a moped to a bulldozer as long as its 12v.
