Default Battery Tender

I agree the Battery Tender Jr. is the best. I use 5 of them personally.

As Caper said just insure that it is fully automatic. Battery tender & Battery minder are a couple that are. Some touted as "trickle chargers" put out low current but never shut off. The fully auto ones will charge the battery then go into maintainance mode where it will monitor.

Can the quick disconect leads (o ring) be left on the ATV battery permanently? Will this cause any additional drain or other problems?

They can and make it convenient for connections difficult to get to. I put mine on my motorcycle battery as the + term was impossible to get to in the machine. Now can just plug it in. Cable tied it out of the way so it would not fly out & get caught in the rear wheel.

Hey guys, my mom is looking to get a trickle charger for her boyfriend for his motorcycle. i was wondering which one she would be a good one and what prices they range?

i saw an atv trickle charger in Cabella's for like $29.99. are the trickle chargers vehicle specific, or can an atv one be used on a motorcycle?

thanks for the info.</end quote></div>

Oh yea, I forgot the topic here! LOL!

Get the one that maintains a full charge as the others have said, has the terminal round rings that permanently mount and has the quick disconnect. I looked into one for my bike but realized I don't need one because I ride it so much it doesn't have time to go dead!
