My opinion on the winch is this.....It's kinda like having a spare tire, most times you don't need it but when you do you're sure glad you have it especially on a farm where I'm sure it could come in handy for other things other than getting your machine unstuck.....Just my 2 cents.....Get a winch.....

Sounds like the winch is $$ well spent. I guess my last question is what real power difference will I notice between a 500 or 700? I know there will be some, but we will be doing mostly low speed work and towing.

Well the 500 is probably the most proven out there but you will get a bit more out of the 700...Either machine will do a great job...I know that's not much of an answer but I'd grab the 7 if I were you...

I wasn;t real wild about the decnt control. Made it seem like you were either on the gas or on the brake. Dealer said they are all going that way and that you get used to it.

I like the adc, once I was use to it, at times wish it was on my 400 scrambler. I put a winch on my sp 500 when I bought it and have never had to use, but I like the security of it, I have a plow on the way, so the winch will help there.

Well I haven't driven the new ones with the adc but ultimately you should get the one that suits you the best....Everyone has there own opinions here but you should ride different ones and get the one that you like and feel will be the best for you.....
