what size plow should I get

Default what size plow should I get

I have a 04 sp 500, 80 hrs and I want to get a plow, but which size, 50' or 60', some say 60' so when you angle the blade it will clear a path for the tires, it only thirty bucks dif..thanks[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I ordered a 55 and changed it to a 60".

I would go with the 60 for the reason you mentioned. The 500 has plenty of power for it.

Depends what your plowing.I do 6 driveways and sidewalks and a 60 inch blade is to wide for some sidewalks.

my lil 400 has plenty of power to push my 60" cycle country plow..never have any problems ,i would not go any smaller..

If I could get bigger than a 60" blade I would. My 500 has plenty of power for the 60"

Forget chains and get tracks, you can drive up the snowbank and don't have to worry about the pile getting too close because you can move it.

There are a couple times when I could have used chains like when you get a melt, then a freezing rain to snow. But made it without just took a little longer more than the normal 4 trips around the drive. Has never been enough for me to justify them.
