Hi

I just want to know if someone got crack rubber seat grommet on is X2. Our X2 are brand new ( month year old ) and we change the two rubbers under the seat. After check allround the quad I notice the rear rubber spacer/grommet who hold the muffler was crack. Anybody got the same thing. My dealer said POLARIS got some bad rubber part a couple of month ago....sound right ??? they said that the rubber on the sway bar crack sometime too ???

 

Yes, have the dealer replace the crcked ones!

 

I had the same problem with my 06, the dealer replaced all craked ones. no charge.........
smooth........

 

Weard thing about the subcontractor....missing error in the production maybe...I'm glad not to be alone

Yep, all the swaybar bushings on mine were dry-rotted right out of the crate. Covered by warranty without a problem.

 

Yep same here....all the swaybar bushings, header springs..all replaced.

 

I think that a lot of times when dealers take delivery of new units off the truck, they leave them outside for a long period of time until they actually need to display them or put them together because they sold. Some dealers display the units outside in the heat/cold and rain/snow. I had issues with my 2007 X2 rubber battery hold-down. The thing dry rotted, broke and the battery slid up against the header. Melted a hole in the side. Had to put it in the shop at less that a week old. No grommet or bushing problems yet.

 

For the seat I got a long velcro strip about 2 inches wide and put some on the airbox snorkle and some on the bottom of the seat. Seat doesn't move anymore. It was stupid of Polaris to not put a latch on the seat.

 

I have a problem with the seat gromments on my 06 X2 also but mine are not cracking. They are being pushed inside of the plastic frame work. We have replaced the gromments and also tried expanding foam behind the gromments but they still get pushed inside.

 

I am on my 3rd set of bushings.....and these have gone bad as well. Now it is out of warranty. Wish me luck.
