I was just wondering how well you can jump with the scrambler 500. Has anyone ever got air with it? If so how high. I am really curious. I've jumped a scrambler 400 before, is it pretty similar to that?

They should be about the same...weight wise at least. All I know is that we will never see me on my Scram in HuevosIV.

They can fly, just nothing like like a 400ex or Banshee. They weight just a tiny bit more

I own 2 SC 4WD 500s and have a third in the garage owned by a friend. Recently we ran into a pair of 400s on the trail and swapped around.

The 2WD 400s were very noticeably lighter, more nimble and happier in the air. I still prefer the 500s, but to answer your question, there is quite a bit of difference between the machines jumping ability.

What kind of mods do you have? Any pictures? Just curious never heard of anyone attempting MX on a Scrambler. Thanks

I've got a 2001 Scrambler 500 2x4. I've put chromoly A-arms,rear swingarm, durablue axle oversized rear brake rotor, font bumper and radiator guard.I've got 18x11x10 holeshotmx on beadlocks on the rear and holeshot
21x7x10 on front. I am fixing to replace the floorboards with footpegs and nerfbars. This is the only kind I can ride. Because I am a one armed rider.(I only have my right arm) You just have to see it to believe it. I don't have a scanner yet but the one of the tracks I race at is putting some pics on thier site.www.badlandsmx.com They will be up pretty soon. I got 5th the last series
(5 races) and this was my first year to race. And I've got 2nd and 3rd a couple of times at single races. I get my stuff from FTR Performance. They have an ad in DirtWheels,or www.ftrperformance.com

My buddy jumps his 97 Scrambler all the time. He gets serious air, but just about every ride, he either breaks a chain, or the spring in his chain tensioner.
