Default please need help

I have a polaris xplorer 4x4 500cc 1997,I just bought it and I am doing the rear brake and I would like to know about the disk for the pads.the disk is hold by some pins passing the holes in the disk,is it normal than the disk has good play in the pins, the pads assembly are not on the disk because I was changing my pads when I saw that.
I would like a answer so I can finish my brakes and go for a ride.I bought the repair manual but it was backorder I won't have it before next week.so please give me an answer

Thank You

Here's a site that has the parts breakdown. Maybe that will help get you going.

I don't remember Polaris making an Xplorer 500 in 1997. They made a 300 & a 400. I had a 300. Changed the brake pads once. Very easy to do. I'm not sure that I understand your question. Is your rear disc damaged?

EDIT: Yep, found the fiche on www.cheapcycleparts.com
