Default Spark Plug

i have a 06 hawkeye 4x4 and noticed the other day that i have accumulated quite a few NGK spark plugs.... last week i installed a new plug, ran it for a hour and had to put in a new one... i would like to change to a new brand of plug and was wondering what everyone has had good experience with.... most of the time my plugs will last a while and by the color seem to be burning correct, im just starting to think NGK are junk... thanks for your input...

I have not had my atv very long, but have run NGK in my chainsaws and motorcycles and think they are OKAY. I would think you have a problem.

If you're going through plugs, chances are there is another issue. Like your fuel mixture is too rich or you're burning oil. I change my plugs once each year just because, but the ones I pull out are still good. The plug on my push mower has never been changed, it's been about seven years now.

it's not like i am going through plugs like crazy... i need to lean out the carb a little but it is not so bad that im fouling out alot.... no oil being burnt.... just thinking that there has to be a better plug... for the plug that only lasted an hour i fouled it out doing donughts... between the full tank of fuel bouncing around and the spinning it threw a slug of fuel into the cylinder and the plug got wet, you could smell gas... could be the cold weather that changes the air density and causes it to run some what different...

Dealer put Champions in my two 450's after the first check-up..........Asked him why (I like NGK ALSO) he told me after they seem to run better over a longer time frame............didn't get into a war with him........There still in there and are working fine!!

I can't really see a issue just from one spark plug to another though!!!........He sells alot of Quads so he must know something!!!...........Caper...............

I was wondering about spark plug brands? if one was better than the other I seem to have to use the choke a lot in cold weather I think I fouled out my first plug on my sptsman 600. While on hill thawing my gas line out.
