Default Chain loose?

Hey guys! I was doing a general inspection of my 04 Trailblazer 250. I noticed my chain felt a little loose??? I have never paid attention to it before but before I go riding I always spray the chain... Is there any way to check if my chain is loose or if its just me??? All answers appreciated.

Default Chain loose?

this is from my 400 manual but may help, chain is adj right when it has 3/8 deflection. put it in gear and get the top part of the chain tight, you should then be able to move the top part of the chain 3/8", to adjust,I loosen the 2 eccentric clamp bolts and the bolts on the rear caliper and turn the cam in the mid rear axle to tighten/ loosen. again this is for my 400 if i'm wrong somebody correct let me know if you need pics and I will scan

just for info I think I have been doing more harm than good w/ chain oiling. will try this chain w/ nothing but dry silicone lube spray. think the oil based spray I was useing was just a dirt magnet
