i have a 07 sportsman 700 efi when you crank it up some times the rpms will go away i have had a mechanic tell me that was a charging problem they told me that if the rpms didnt register it was not charging does any one know if this sounds acurate? and if so how do i tackel this problem could i fix it myself?

 

You should be able to go into the diagnostic mode and see if it,s charging, it vwill tell you how in the owners manuel.
