it is just the rubber separating and the metal sides of the mount coming off

It's can be hard to tell if you have a bad one. Mine started creeping in gear, but upon inspection, looks fine. you have to pry on them to see if they seperate. Anyone try the Napa mount?

I just called NAPA it cost $11.33 so I'm going to go by and order it.

$12.22 with Tax

It will be here in the morning, I will take it down to the dealer and compare mounts, with pictures of course

Thanks for the info. I put in the new 071 lower mount, and if it doesn't hold up will be looking at the Napa piece. Wouild think it would have a through bolt, maybe more solid mount? let us know and thanks.

Its a recal im guessing ...polaris will give you a new one for free

I don't think its a recall because my dealer said this is the first 800 that this has ever happened on here it always the rangers, if it breaks they will fix it but they are not going to replace it if there is no problem, but I could be wrong.

i dont beleave it was ever a recall as i never heard from polaris about it w/ my 06' 800. i think only a select few broke them and i think the dealers were fixing them w/ no cost to the owner.
