There is a service bulletin out. When i took my 2007 dls 800 for warranty work the dealer (Abernathy Union City ,Tn) showed me on the puter where he got the ok but Polaris said to reflash the ecm and put updated heat shields on too b4 replacingf the plastic....

 

I have an 07 500 sportsman that runs hot. it has melted the mount tab,

What is reflashing?
Is it re programing the efi computer to run lean? and this lets motor run cooler?

What would a shop charge to do this?
Whats the best glue for atv plastic?

I called local dealer and he ran my atv serial number and told me there was no recall or service bulletin for heat issues on my atv. Is there a way I can check myself?
