Thanks for the feedback everyone. The list was $10199. Half the reason that I don't mind paying a little extra is there are no more 800 deluxe X2's in my area, just standard models. The other half is that I fell in love with the color and the fact that hardly anyone else will have it!!! My other option was to get an 08 700 X2 and add the winch and wheels, but I didn't like either color offered. What do I need to know tech. wise about this beast??? Any add on's or any tips???[/q]
Yes get front and rear bumpers ASAP, the 1st bump and the plastic will be busted!

are great products, no one else makes a rear bumper for the X2.

Actually for a 800 X2 DLX, that is not too bad. The MSRP for the 2007 sp800 X2 DLX is $9999. I purchased my 2007 sp800 X2 DLX last April for $9299 OTD and that was with a 5 year extended warranty which is $1100 by itself. That also included 2 years of free oil change serivce at this dealer.
As far as the bike is concerned, it is awesome. The most universal quad ever made IMO. I use my for farm work, trail riding, towing, and mudding, but mostly for the deer lease. Mine doesn't use too much gas, but I don't hammer on the throttle too often. Now it does run hotter than the single cylinder 500sp. Make sure your radiator is kept clean or it will over heat. I have heard about using other coolants that will help this, but haven't yet tried them.
As far as power, the sp800 is loaded with torque and the 2007 is rated at 54.8hp at the crank. The 2008 sp800 is rated more at 58hp at the crank. For mine, I can pull the front wheels off the ground in low range with no problem. In high range, I do have to slightly tug, but this is mostly due to the increased length of the quad.
Now a regular sp800 in high range will lift the front off the ground as far as your desire. Anyway, hope this helps with my 2 cent imput.
