Default Diff Fluid

Ok, so here we go. I've seen some different posts on here but none are very conclusive.

I am changing my diff fluid tomorrow. My dealer sold me AmsOil Synthetic 75W90 Gear Oil. He says that is what they sell to everyone.

IS THIS GOING TO BE GOOD!? I know AmsOil is the top of the line, I run it in my diffs on my Jeep, love it. Is it good for the quad as well?

Let me know ASAP please! Thanks

Don't use gear oil in the front differential. Yours probably takes Polaris Demand Drive Hub fluid. Like Stendori said, check the manual. You might use gear oil in the transmission without a problem though.

Ok, so I put the "Polaris Demand Drive Hub Fluid" in the front. In the back I put the AmsOil Gear Lube. it's full synthetic, good stuff. I take it on the Sportsman 400 that the rear diff and the transmission are in the same housing and use the same fluid. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Also changed the engine oil with the recommended Polaris synthetic oil as well. Good to go now. It's good to know you have new oils all around. I also put on a set of heated hand grips, they're nice in the cold that's for sure.

I put in a "Uni" air filter as well. Anyone else running these? How have you liked them? Did you have to rejet at all?

I think he means the fluid in the tranny is also the rear diff fluid. In my manual they do not even mention a rear diff fluid ,only the tranny fluid, both are one unit. In the rear tranny I have been using synthetic snowmobile chain case oil.
