Wondering what is the best bang for the buck in a plow system for a Polaris 500 EFI. Also, how hard is one of these to install myself or is it something you want the dealer to do?

My Moose Plow 50" has been going strong for three winters now, nothing has broken or worn out yet. If I ever had to replace the blade, a 60" would probably be a better size.

I purchased the Glacier 2 system and 60 inch razor for my '06 sportsman 700 efi. Took about 90 minutes to put together, 1st time. Fairly easy, springs were difficult. If u have time/inclination, do it yourself, otherwise can't imagine much of a charge to get done for you. Last night was my 4x out this season, not a ton of snow in southern CT. I have to say, pure enjoyment. BTW, the 700 is more than enough power, arguement cud be made that 500 was the one for me, but don't mind having it. Can't imagine the power on the 800, those big bores must be nasty! Anyways, u can't go wrong with the Glacier 2. Took 2 seconds to unhook when i was finished and blasted around for another 20 minutes. Awesome!

I have the Glacier 1 system on my 06 700 and a 50" blade. I think the glacier 1 is a little stronger than the 2. Just the way it mounts. I do need to upgrade the front springs or add the spacers. Bottoms out a bit when you hit a heavy pile. I think I lost 1" of ground clearance with the mount on.
