Well I decided to go with the Gorilla 3000 on my 08 500 Sportsman. It should be here in 3 days. Does anyone have any good installation tips or insight. Maybe any feedback on Gorilla winches. Thanks......

my friend had on his b force 750 that i installed for him. as far as instaltion, dont run any of the wires/cables where they can ever chafe of metal. as far as the winch he had a couple of problems. 1st the contacter was junk and only worked part of the time and only one way not both. 2nd was water and mud would get into the winch itself and make it so the clutches wouldnt work correctly. had to take apart and it runinds the paper washer that acts like a gasket i beleave.

a nice little detail i like to do when running electrical components is to go to your auto parts store and buy some wire loome... that way it is all protected and you can just hold it on with some zip ties... makes the job look PROFESSIONAL

I just installed an Xtreme 3000. Very easy because my 2007 X2 500 was pre-wired. I removed the front rack and front plastic for easy access to all of the components. Then mounted the winch and completed the wiring. The only problem was the contactor included with the kit did not match up with the pre-wired battery cables. I wound up using the ones that came with the kit. Installation took less time than it did to take the plastics off and put them back on.
