With seven discs it runs perfectly. Slighlty quieter than 8 discs at idle but seems the same noise under load.
Without being able to actually ride it on trails yet, I'm satisfied so far with this muffler.
There's another video on youtube of a guy with an 800 and HSP muffler, which is quite a bit louder. The Supertrapp seems mild compared to the HSP.

Yes, the discs are inside. They sit about 4 inches back from the outlet.
I noticed in the video it looks like the muffler moves around while the engine revs up. It only has one mounting point compared to two for the stock muffler, so obviously it is more flexible and can move around a little.

I'm done messing around with mufflers for a while. I put the 8th disc back in as it seemed to run better than with just 7, and it is just too loud for me. Supertrapp claims that it maintains the stock decibel level but it doesn't. While it's not overly loud, it's still louder than what I prefer. I have the stock muffler back on there now.
So I'll be putting it on Ebay this week.
It only has about 10 hours on it if anyone is interested.

I mounted up the exact same muffler on my '07 Hawkeye. I will say it did improve the low end, it did not cause any loss at midrange. It has much more "grunt" than it did with the stock muffler. I haven't been able to fully open it up yet, so I can't say it has helped the top end any. That wouldn't bother me any since the Hawkeye is no sport quad anyway. I used 10 discs in mine since I have a DynoJet kit installed. A much deeper throaty sound at idle, no big difference other than that as far a sound is concerned.
All in all, I'm totally satisified with it on my quad.
I thought I had found the best price. You beat me by $10.
