I found the wiring diagram that Stendori linked, but its all greek to me. I know the symbol for ground and Pos., but thats it. I keep looking for a fusible link like a car has but is the atv's link look different.

To my thinking the link should be betweeen the ign. sw. and battery in order to kill the power to lights, starter, instruments.

sorry the link is junk as always(yea john i should know better lol) but did you find the 15 amp fuse yet or the fuseable link? trying to stud it i would gues it would it (fuse) would be where the biggest connectors are. you really need a manual for a complete diagram to find wiring. i know when i helpped a guy on his bike it took awhile just to figure the wiring out from the manaul i was looking at.

Am I right in looking for a f'link like a car has? Thicker wire, usually gray, or could it like a fuse or diode?

Fusable link may be a thinner (in comparison to a car) wire, mine was the same thickness as lighting wires, yes it was grey, located along frame behind battery compartment.......still not sure where it was attached to though.

If it is anything like an 05 sportsman 800 the fusible links come from the starter sol. There are 3 on mine according to the wiring diagram 2 blues and a black. 1 to fuse block Black changing to red & 2 to the voltage regulator Blue changing to red.

Comparing the #'s the 2202607 shows on mine being the Bl/R On diagram says sol is located ahead of left rear wheel.
