What fuel is the best?

Default What fuel is the best?

i have a sportsman 500 HO. what fuel is the best to use, or does it even make a difference? i use 87 octane, shoud i go higher?

87 is what you should use. any higher octane is a wast of money on a stock engine.

I just use 89 in everything. Except my cars, which get 87.

87 octane in your stock engine. If you had a high compression motor then you would want to run a little higher octane. Running higher octane in a low compression motor is a waste of money and don't help power.

I use 93 in the fall just because I don't use it in the winter that much and I was concerned the octane would go downhill during the winter
