You will need to do a plug check after you ride it with the new pipe.

would i notice any performace gains from an aftermarket pipe?

Yes you will gain some. Alot of people put the 800 header on with the pure polaris muffler.

I bought the pure polaris for my 700 sp and the 800 header and it really woke it up! I put the pipe on my 800 and it didn't make much of difference, but a bit better sound. I would highly recomend it.

is the 800 header pipe interchangeable with my 04' 600? could someone kindly guide me to where I could get the header pipe and is that all you need is just the header pipe? thanks for your help so far.

I am not sure if it is interchangeable but I bought it as a kit from breeselawnandgarden on ebay for my 700, I would check them out, best pricing I found and they can answer if it is interchangeable

Yes they are interchangeable. If you get the 800 pipe get the new designed one its 2 piece and has better heat shields.

i was reading somewhere else about the header pipe and it said about also getting some kind of gasket. do i need this gasket? also just wondering what is the difference with the 800 header pipe?

Can you still get the white brothers/pure polaris muffler? I can't find it on either web site.
