Thanks for the quick replies. Unfortunatly the increased displacement is out of the budget for now. I think I'll try the K&N and dynojet kit first.

I had an old 425 Magnum which is basicly the same as your 400.Best things I did were in this order 1.K&N air filter 2.Polaris white primary spring Aaen blue secondary spring set 2-2 stock weights(should have went with a gram or 2 heavier)3.SuperTrapp exhaust system(good sound decent power)With this I could run with the 500HOs but not the modded 400Ls.Clutching is the key to Polaris performance

Lighten up on the secondary start at 1-1 and try it you may have to go lighter than that to compensate for the big tires

Thanks again Onesavage, I installed the K&N and Dynojet kit this Saturday and it made more difference than I thought. I would reccomend this to anyone. It help in the low to mid range and I also gained about 7mph on the top speed.

I just went with the recomended setting. I might try adjusting the stock secondary clutch spring next. I have to say again I was really impressed. I didn't think it was going to make much difference but IT DID!!!!!
