There is a segment of the ATV world that bashes Polaris, based on rumor, a friend of a friend of a friend, and stupid internet comments. They probably never road a Polaris. I love my Grizzly 660, but see my buddy's Sportsman 500 is a beast. I did not even look at them due to bad "stories"

Fram suffers the same fate. Go to Bobistheoilguy and see the tests done on fram. They may not be the very best, but test fine.

I used to use them on my cars. After doing some research I stopped. Still buy the air filters, they don't have the bad reputation.

True, if they were as bad as some of the stories I've heard, they'd be off the market. But, since buying a brand that has been proved to be better only cost a few (if that much) dollars more, I'll spend the cash.

Ironic that I use they're own motto from years gone buy.

"You can pay me now, or you can pay me later."

I've been using Fram filters in my cars, trucks and motorcycles for over twenty years now. I have already bought a Fram to replace the stock Polaris filter at the next oil change. I've never had a filter related problem with any vehicle. It's a lot like politics I guess. You have your favorite "canidate" and everyone else is scum. I will still vote for Fram.

P.S. - My manhood was recently challenged when I realized that my car (1.8 Liter) and my quad (500cc) used the same oil filter.
