if you mix the oild without doing hte block off kit it will be alot of oild going into teh engine untill the oil runs out then it will prob be ok but there is still oild in you tank so when you put oild in your gass you will have double the needed oil. It will fowl plugs and smoke like crazy

I own 4 polarises, 3 out of the 4 have oil injection, I have never had a
problem with any of them, they have been putting oil injection on sleds
for years now many with 3cylinders I have never heard of a problem nor
have I had a problem with any of my older sleds that had it (going back to
1979) The technology is older than dirt!!!!

The reason they make a Oil injection block off kit is for weight reduction, same with the starter block off kit.

i eliminated the injector just by removing the cable,oil tank,and sealed the oil line inlet that goes to the intake boot,bought a ratio-rite cup for consistent mixes, got a new plug,gapped it and pre mixed a tank of fuel,let it idle for 30-45 min, made some fuel-air adjustments to the carb so it's dialed in correctly,and that worked great for me,and my motor runs about 4-8 degrees cooler,i will be buying a block off kit soon but for now 95% of the work is done, all i will have to do is unscrew 4 screws and put the block off plate on and i'm done.my oil pump failed when my quad was 1 yr old,dealer said a gear inside broke,(he said they are plastic)i'm not sure but i wont chance it again.

i think the reason they make an injector removal kit is to increase reliability not for weight reduction,all the stuff i took off was about 1.3lbs,and thats the oil tank,cable, injector mechanism. the starter on the other hand is much heavier

lbs = HP

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Another reason to remove it other than weight reduction is on very highly modded engings you need the extra oiling but for most the injection system is fine.

Never had a problem with ours, thought about getting the kit but didnt. I really dont think you need it. He will love the bike, I know we did. I sold it to upgrade the wife to a Scrammy 500 and wish I would have kept it. She's always whining about how much she misses it and I miss it too, it was an excellent machine. She likes her Scrammy but not as much as the Trailblazer. D$mn I miss that quad!!!!! I've even been looking at a couple on Craigslist, the bad thing is I sold it for 1200 and it was in perfect condition, I'm such a dumbarse!!!!
