Default X2 and ATP owners

Hey gang. Since we have both an ATP and an X2 I decided to see if the tailgates on the two are the same. I think that they are after comparing the two. The tailgates are the same width and height and have the same hardware for closing the tailgate. The X2 tailgate even has a smooth area in the lower right where the ATP had a sticker that said All Terrain Pickup. So, I have to wonder if the bed extender that Polaris has for the ATP will fit the X2. Has anyone on the forum had an ATP that they got the extender for? What are your likes/dislikes about it?

Howdy MooseHenden.....I got one of these extenders for my 07 X2 camo and it will not fit......and it is Polaris made. The website of the Co. that I bought from leans to the fact the extender worked for the 07 X2. It's close....but no cigarro. Half price for mine if you want to try and modify.

Hey NoJoke, thanks for the reply. I think I'll pass if it doesn't work for you. I can probably fab something that will work to do the same thing. I appreciate your offer. Thanks again.

Would you have a picture of this bed extender? I've never heard of one.

Hey MT, the pictures on the Polaris website are useless. It's a black bed extender like you would see for a real pickup. The bed of the ATP is also black so the picture doesn't really help. Still hoping for someone who has one mounted will speak up.

Hey NoJoke, thanks for the pics. I'll probably try to fabricate something out of wood. I'm a little surprised that it wouldn't fit the X2 though. Thanks for the info.

Howdy MooseHenden....the extender will fit the width just fine....it's the hardware that it came with wouldn't allow me to mount the extender on the X2 bed. It's close. The X2 bed must be a tad different than the ATP bed.
