Default Polaris 2-ups....Anyone have any experience?

From the looks of this line-up, I think Mud Hog is correct about the 800 X2 Stealth black. Would be a very nice machine for sure! I'd choose the X2 over the Touring model just for the dump bed. I've always liked that feature.

sheepdogMSP8117,
What model special edition is that Orange Sportsman? It looks good in that color.

Mud Hog

I like my X2 very much and it fits well on the trails. It feels and drives like a regular length ATV. I do feel a little body flex over off-camber terrain though like going over a snowbank at an angle. I feel something funky in the floorboards. But it's ok.

Passenger comfort is top-notch!

BTW, it plows snow like a little bulldozer! LOL!

Riding through deep snow the 4X4 ratchets the handlebars left and right and is VERY annoying. BUT, that's the way the 4X4 is designed- one front tire pulls, then the other.

On a scale of 1-10, it earns a solid 8 in my book.

Don't buy the 800, it's so wastful on gas.....and you have a family to take care of. The 500 has plenty of juice to satisfy!

I've got the limited edition 800 X2 and I absolutely love it.The last ride I did we put on 151 miles and my 6 year old daughter actually fell asleep on the back.I rode for about 10 miles reaching back with my left arm to hold her up.The touring model has a more comfortable passenger seat but you can't beat the versatility of the X2.

I looked at a few dealers today. I liked the 500 and 700 X2. My wife actually like the rided of the X2 over the Touring. Is there a a lot pros and cons between the 500 and the 700. The 800 was a lot more $$$. $200 difference in the 500 and 700. I have heard great things about the 500 motor is the 700 a good motor too. After owning a yamaha grizzly the ride fely a little different but it was very stable. As Polaris owners could you all help me with the pros and cons of both the 500 and the 700. Thanks

I got my 700 X2 just over a month ago and just love it. I had a 500 sportsman and this was a strong bike but no room for the wife without hirting "things". this is why we went with the X2. the 700 gives us all the power we need and the gas milage is not all that diferant for the added power. The unit is heavy and I thing the extera power is needed for all around trail riding. and for the $$$$$ difference its was no question.Just a remindr this bike is larger front to back along as side to side this was the only thing I had to pay attention to because most trailes get tite and that is why I put the side rails on. With this said this Atv is an outstinding all aroud unit. Oh Last weekend I had 6 80lb bags of concret in the dump bed and it handled it well. I moved 50 bags that day

Seeing Polaris does not offer a back bumper for this bike I did find one on http://www.atv-guru.com/polarisx2rearbumper.htm

I should get it this week and will post my review of it.
