What is the differance and will it matter too much?
Carb vs fuel injected...does it really matter?
I am in UTAH if that helps.

TIA

TD..i've been riding the piaute trail for 10 yrs,and in 06 we got 2 500 efi's and i've not looked back....just love them..may take a few minutes for the ecm to adjust when you go from 5k ft then drive to 8k ft...in the past i've had a 99 500,2000 335 2001 ho 500 and a 400 all sportsmen...to me the extra $ for the efi is worth it...now i didn't jet my 500 99 model the first yr i went and it did "ok" but lost a lot of power..the 335 was jetted and when we got to 9000 plus ft it just barley made it..in 2001 i got my wife the 400 and jetted it and it did really good until we got to 11000 plus.but that was'nt for long..we also change out the weights to get it to shift better...both bikes had ebs also..the 400[425] sportsman done everything the 500 did, except it didn't have the extra omph to it..but in 2 more yrs...i'll still get another EFI something...G'

When I got my 500, I got the HO because I knew how to tune carburetors and didn't want the complexity and expense of an EFI system if there was a problem. When I got my 800 a year later, it was EFI only, and I love it. If I was to buy another 500 it would be the EFI.

Go EFI ! I have been an EFI believer since Jeep switched to EFI. I remember the verticle climbs when the float bowl on the carbs would empty out causing the jeeps to stumble at the worst time, the high altitude power loss, the cold starts, just go EFI.

EFI the only way to go. the problems are few and far in between and the benfits are way better then carb. imo.

EFI for all the reasons stated above. Especially for cold weather starts here in New England.

Go with EFI and you will not regret it ..We have all switched to injection and no problems so far..Rode one day at 8 degrees and they run just fine..Our body did not...

i think efi for the biggest reasons are cold weather, high attiudes, and better power, better fuel milage. that pretty much covers it all.

Would you add any brushguards or rack extenders up front, or would you wait a bit and get them later?

I am just trying to decide what I want to add on, and I am thinking that I will buy the ATV first and add to it later...
TIA
