price screwed big time in one year unless you find a good dealer.

ATV and motorcycle dealers are worse than car dealers when it comes to trade-ins. Sell it yourself - you'll come out a lot better.

www.traderonline.com will run it online and in print until it sells.

When I was planning on getting rid of my Scrambler I had it advertised for $5000 all summer long and I didn't get a single call. Took it to the dealer to see what they would give me for it and they offered me $4200. It saved me a lot of tax and it was almost as much as I wanted for it. But for a year old bike you'll take a beating for sure. But all you can do is see what they'll do for you. A good dealer can make it work for you.

Just do it! I was in the same position a few months ago. I bought a Hawkeye in March and it had a lot of problems so one day I decided it was gonna be someone elses problem I've had enough. I didnt want to personally sell it to another individual cause I dont think it would ever be right, so I took it to the dealer, they already knew how upset I was I had been there 3X for recalls. Anyway we bickered back and forth for hours and I ended up riding out on a Stealth 500. Gave them their nightmare back and 4000 out the door tax title and reg. I would have been a lot further ahead buying it in the first place but I still did alright. WHen I got the Hawk I traded in my streetbike and $500 beans which makes the whole situation different but totally glad I got the Sportsman havent had a problem with it and it's like night and day, power, ride, everything. Dont get me wrong if the Hawkeye would have run right from the beginning I would still have it. I loved the small size it was great for cruising through the woods w/out trails and what not but they just couldnt get it running right. The mechanic told me when he couldnt get it running long enough to ride it off the trailer trading in was the best thing I could have ever done.
