Don't anyone take offense to this because I'm sure Gorilla is a good company and seems to be backing their product, but am I missing something? A winch has to be reliable, afterall, thats why we buy them. I guess if you're just plowing snow with one than it's okay to break down, but if you push your machine to its limits and get stuck as often as I do, you can't wonder if maybe this is the time it will not work! Yeah, I paid out the #@* for my warn winch, but it hasn't failed me yet and I don't see anyone saying it has failed them.....SOLD! Remember this when you are walking out of the woods without your quad! It SUCKS!

Well I installed my new Gorilla and found that this one too is defective. It is also slipping in the gears even more than the first on and to top it off this one also kills the motor on the Rincon when you press the release button for the rope! I hate to say it but I am going to try to get a refund and go for a Warn instead.

Dont take offense to this, Mr Thor, but I feel the need to give you a reality check.....you have a laundry list of very fine and expensive toys there and you are trying to save a couple of bucks on a winch! I say this with all due respect.....only because I often find myself doing the same thing....save a buck here and there and sometimes screwing myself! IMO, If there is one thing you have to spend your money on it is the winch....otherwise you will be sorry someday (and you won't know when that day is!). Even if Gorilla sent you another new winch, would you have faith in it?
