Default POlaris starters-

I have a 1992 polaris 350L 4x4. My starter is out and has been since I purchase it....my question is if I take it apart and clean everything could that possibly be the problem or should I just buy a new one? how hard is it to take off the starter and has anyone else had issues with polaris starters?

If your 350 is anything the newer Trailblazers or Sports, it's MUCH easier to remove the clutches and inner clutch cover for starter removal/replacement. There's a starter rebuilt kit on ebay for around $25, but I decided to get a new starter from ebay (with 2 year warranty) for around $42 and not even mess with tearing the old starter apart.
