I broke the rope on my 97 trailblazer 250. I don't know what I am doing wrong but when I wrap the rope around the pulley and counter crank the cover before bolting it back on as to apply counter tension on the spring it seems like it does not retain any tension. I do not have a manual for this bike and I have never had to do this before. Any help would be appreciated...Thanks... waltgsmithjr@yahoo.com

 

did the spring come unhooked or break? when you preloaded the spring did you get enough tention on it? did you try to put temion on the spring after you put the rope in. just a couple of idears.
