2007 500 EFI X2 STALLING
I'm feeling devestated, my brand new 2007 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI X2 starts fine, but the first time i touch the throttle and let it rest back to idle, it stalls out, it's got less than 40 hours on it, and i've only used it for plowing as i got it for myself for x-mas, it starts and idles at 1160rpm, i let it sit in a heated insulated garage, i start it, let it run always, and then go to use it, it's been doing this for about the last 5 times i've been plowing, it's annoying as i need to let go the throttle to shift it into gear, i do have warranty BUT!!! i bought the bike in the usa, and i live in canada, and canadian dealers won't warranty the bike for me, and to find a vehicle, load it up, and cart it back two hours to the usa dealer where i got it is a royal pain, i will try this site first and then i will have to see what my options are, any and all help and suggestions would help, the bike sounds fine off idle, and runs fine off idle but as long as i keep it at 1160rpm or more it's fine, if it drops one rps lower than that it stalls out.
so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME OUT GUYS

2007 500 EFI X2 STALLING
I have same machine and sometimes it idles down real low and it has stalled a few times but not all the time. I believe you can have idle bumped up a little but think dealer has to do this electronically. I thought about having mine up 200 rpms but now that ive used it moe 85 hrs 500 miles all plowing it seems like it is better and not sure why.

I had the same problem with mine. Good news. There is an in line throttle adjustment that will take care of it. Find the throttle cable and look about 3-4 inches down from the grip. You'll see a little bulge in the line with a rubber cover on it. Slide the cover back. Start the machine and let it idle and warm up a bit. Play with the adjustment and bump the idle up some. Make sure you lock the nut down pretty tight before you slide the cover back on. That should take care of that issue.

O M G, i can't belive how fast a reply i just got back, i've been trying to calm myself down and figure this out without going crazy, i was thinking of an adjuster at the throttle body side of the cable, but i didn't know there was one at the headlight area, i also thought that if the idle cut down past the usual 1160 rpm that with having the EFI model that it would automatically adjust for itself and correct the problem, looking back i see now that the cable may tend to stretch over time/use.
