faster scrammy?

Default faster scrammy?

I was wondering if there was anything i can do to make my scrambler go faster,without spending a fortune? my vapor says about 61.5 right now, was hoping for more.

Lighten it up some like alluminum wheels and bumper.And play with the clutching a little.These 500 Scrammys are kinda limited on top speed due to the 4x4 system haveing to keep the stock gear ratio to work right.

Thats close to my top speed before any mods. I got 63 on road with slight decline. after mods I would get around 60-61. These were taken with a gps. Never have had it above 40 on the trails so no worries for me. Why would you need to go faster than 60 on a 4x4 quad?

wow.thats it? I have done 68 on mine.I heard of high 60's and some even hitting 70 or more with light mods.

I was thinking of buying a hi-rev cdi box. Would I gain anything from that. How hard is it to put a cam in and how much gain does that get me. THANX

if you are mechanically inclined, then the cam is an easy project. takes longer to remove all the plastics etc, just to get to the motor. but its well worth the money and time.

i think i paid about 165 for mine, but you have to have a good stock core.
