2001 sportsman 400 AWD failure

Default 2001 sportsman 400 AWD failure

HELP ...machine is only used for plowing and its SNOWING daily !! awd does not engage , light under switch IS not lighting , but everything in the speedo works , POD lights all work and show correct gear .... any help would be GREATLY appreciated as im SICK of shoveling !!!

May need some Fluid change/service.............may want to check you over-ride button!!...Caper....

certain older wheelers had to have the light bulb working for power to go thru to the awd. check to see if your geting power to the switch and thatthe light bulb is good.

Well good news is by disassembling awd switch and cleaning contacts the bulb lit up and got 4 wheel drive back ....bad news it in only lasted long enuff to plow ONCE ....will change hub fluid and see where that takes me , also look at reverse overide ...thanks for the tips ....KEEP THEM COMING i got 2 ft of snow last night !!!
