Do you have to use polaris grease in the universal joints and suspension? Can you use regular grease (NLGI NO.2) for the univesal joints and suspension for a sportsman? Is thiker grease better.Do you have to hit the fittings every time you ride?. Thanks

Well I myself use synthetic grease from a local store it is good grease repels water good too .
I also here marine grease is good to but I have never tried it. I think anyone of these greases are just as good if not better than the polarise stuff not to mention cheaper. As far as greasing it everytime you ride that is your call I myself do it once a week or two but if I do alot of water traversing than I do it sooner
hope this helps

I have been using the Mobil 1 synthetic grease. It is very water repellant and seems to hold up better than the Polaris stuff does. The Polaris stuff would come out of the bearings looking like it had mixed with the water. The Mobil 1 does not mix with the water and keeps protecting. I grease it after every muddy ride or every four to five regular rides. No problems yet with any of the bearings going out.

Thanks for your repley. The polaris grease seems like it comes out of the fittings to fast compared to some of the thicker grease that I use.
