Plowing snow

Plowing snow
Plowing Snow is a blast with an ATV. I used to do it with a home built Plow setup on my 8hp Rotohoe power plan. Moved snow ok, but this last year I had to be away when we got some serious snow falls. I started with about 25" of snow. My 4x4 ranger was stuck in the field, couldn't get enough momentum to get it out.
Momma said let's see about getting you an ATV with a plow.
Well that certainly made short fun work of my driveway and getting to my Barn for the farm animals.
Then there was getting the Ranger out. Broke a trail to it. used the ATV to get it over the now 30" drift in front of it. halfway to the headlights on the grill.
That whole process was fun. Can't wait for this year to start......

Adding to whats already been said, you can "stack" the snow fairly high, higher than the ATV easily. Once you get the snow as close to the borders of your driveway as you want to get, position the blade straight on and raise it about 6 inches off the ground. You can approach the banks at a slight angle (10 degrees maybe) at a slow speed and accelerate into them once you're really close. The blade will start to push the snow back and the front tire closest to the bank will start to ride up the snow beneath the blade and will effectly raise the plow blade even further. If you do it right, you'll end up riding up the snow bank and start stacking the snow. I'll try to find a pic that shows my snow banks this year.
ADDED:
I put links instead of embedded pics because they are larger in size.
