Default hawkeye clutch roller mod

i am thinking about doing the clutch roller mod for my '06 hawkeye to give it more snap and low end power. my hawkeye can already go 50mph, so im not worried too much aobut losing top end. what is involved in doing it? what tools will i need?

Its real easy ive got it down to about 30 minutes start to to finish, if you havent done it takes about 1 1/2 hours being cautious. Email me and Ill send you a video in the next couple of days.

you will need a 33mm socket for the big nut on the clutch
10mm socket
10 mm wrench
2 big screw drivers for prying the Cover off, theres a big notch in the top and bottom of the cover,,do not hammer a screw driver inside the cover to pry it off.
its kinda tight but it comes off evenly if you know what i mean.
Youll need an Impact wrench for the big nut and 33 socket
then you will need to pry off the inner clutch cover its hard to get out the first time
then pull out two oppsoing rollers
then put the inner clutch cover back on , then use some locktight on the nut and tighten the big nut down with an Impact to around 80-120 pounds torque or a 3 burp with the impact set on 2 or 3 air setting. then have a blast.

My clutch sliding plate was very easy to remove, I did not have to pry it.

Service manual says you have to remove plastics to remove the aluminum clutch cover. That is not true. Remove the floorboard, rear wheel and loosen plastic near seat to gain clearance for clutch cover

Yes you have to use an impact wrench, unless you have a clutch holder and are strong as Hercules.
