How do you eliminate the rev limiter
#1
Ok as the title states i need to know how i can bypass or eliminate the rev limiter on my 95 polaris magnum 425 4x4 also any tips or sugestions are apreciated but here is the low down ok when i am driving wide open one pass the max speed i get is 30-35 now another pass on the same track same conditions the max speed is 40-45,,, and also i am experiencing a power issue when i try to go up a hill sometimes in 4x4 the hill will stop me and the wheels will not spin it's as though the motor can not power the machine also for the first time the other day i got the high temp light if that helps, please anyone help me....lol!!!!

are you getting belt slip? you say it looses power, or is it just reving up but not going? being this is a 95' i wonder if the belt has been changed or the clutches serviced. if you are getting differnt speeds i would lean toward clutch issues. by passing the reverse overide will make it go the same speed in reverse and make it so you dont have to hold the button in for awd.

i don't think i am getting slippage i don't seem that way because as i said i was going up a hill and then it just seemed to loose the power in the motor the power don't seem to be their it seems to me if the belt is slipping i would get some rev out of it, the over ride seems to work fine how ever i have suspision this may be some how involved since i seem to develop these issues i think for the most part after i have backed up this may have nothing to do with it,

i was told by a friend that my low end even seems crapy he says he has a friend thaat has the same thing and that their should be alot more agression and it should go faster as well

Are you saying that when i am going forward and i press the override button the awd kicks in?

ok you said the thing about the speed differnce which leads me to beleave the secondary clutch isnt shifting out correctly most likely maybe the buttons are worn out in the clutch causing it to hang up in turn which would job it of power. unless the it was spitting/sputting, or cutting out i would say it has nothing to do w/ the overide. imo.

if it seems to run fine and doesnt cut out or bog out but has crappy take off and doesnt get up to speed good or when you pin the throttle and it doesnt react much then i would say check on the clucthes. the override is only for reverse. you need it pushed in while in reverse to get the awd to work in reverse. there is nothing wrong it or have anything to do w/ the issues you have right now. imo.
