During the course of the next couple of months several of my friends and family will be getting quads. The one I need help with now is wether to go with the Sportsman 400 or Mag 500. They wanted to H.O. buts its out of the price range. What are you recommendations between the Sp 400 and the Mag 500 ? and why ?

I have a 500 Magnum am like it very much!It weighs about 50lbs less than the SP400. You can get the back end to swing around making turns on the trail a blast.Don't get me wrong I like the Sportsman also,I had the 335 and it was a bit under powered.The 400 should be much better.My advice is to ride them all you can before making your mind up.

 

The Magnum 500 is an awesome quad! Plus you can update the motor to the HO for about $300 after you buy it. Less to go wrong with the rear suspension on the Magnum. Smooth riding and lots of power!
