wating for a compression tester? made the mistake of ordering one on line that was last week. So if I am low on compression that means new rings? or am I going to have to go with a complete rebuild?

 

try unplugging the blk wire on the rev limiter.Then if that dont work check comp then check your secondary clutch buttons

 

does it rev up to high rpm in neutral? what does it have for a clutch,cvt? you may have a bad clutch or belt if it revs up fine in neutral but does not move you more than 3mph.

Yes it will rev up to a high RPM in nuetral????? How would I be able to tell if the clutch is bad? Is there any visual problems that can be detected?

yep, pull the clutch cover off and drive it you should be able to see if the clutch is grabbing the belt or not, ie. primary clutch moving but secondary barely moving. It could just be a bad belt. If you do a search on here there is a link to a video on utube of clutch and belt inspection. Or just go to utube and search for polaris clutch.

Sounds like the clutch to me as well.

 

Take the rear clutch off and apart.The ramps are shot in it.

 

do you have a pic of this? Also how much do they cost?

 

What exactly do the ramps do?
