mike i hate keep teling ya if you have a utility and not a sport model that has alot of speed w/out a turbo. the sportsman is really too heavy to be a good contender is the speed area. if your going to stick to polaris, the 800 is the biggest one you can get, but im afraid you will be disappointed in the speed department when comparing to the other big bore bikes. but you will have the best ride of all of them.

I dont care about the speed really, I have a pred for that, but I would like to make my buddy and my father eat there words and win $100 so I can buy something for the sp800 and show them once again who makes the best utility qauds on the market.

You guys must ride down some pretty boring trails/roads if you can get up to even 50 mph on them.

Two of my friends have recently bought new wheelers. One the 700 Grizz and the other a 800 Sportsman. Both raced when they had about 100 on each. The Polaris is a little quicker off the line and on top end. They are about the same mid range. The Polaris jumps about 3 lengths off the line, then holds the same lead until they reach about 55- 58 mph, then the Polaris starts to slowly pull away. They have raced 8 or 9 times with the same results. Both are bone stock.
