800 Sportman
#1
I'm looking for some info about the 2008 800 Sportman.
How are they comparing against other bikes like the Yamaha 700 Gizz & Kawi 750 when it comes to speed. I know that they 800 sp is getting around 70mph, but do it take a long time to get there? If anybody got any info that would be great.
Thanks
Polaris Mike

if you want the fastest then get a renagde. no comparision. the brute is way quicker off the line. i bleave the sp. 800 is faster then the yamaha. i can walk away from my friends brute f. 750 top end but takes awhile to do it.

well mike the sp. 800 is the biggest polaris makes so either way its the only choice lol. the b.f 750 will take you out of the hole w/ no problem for sure and ive heard some are faster on top end. ive only raced my friends 08' brute force and its a pretty close race. it depends on if he gets the jump on me. the yamie i have no idear.

what more do you want to know? im guessing, but pretty sure the sportsman ho 800 will beat the grizz. 700, but the brut force 750 is another question. most of the time the 800 is on the slow side of the big bore wheelers. mine rides alot better then my friends bf 750 and is a true awd w/out having to lock in the diff. lock. the grizz is a good running bike and has power sterring my buddy who works on them says their the best around. so i think opinions very alot of these bike. hands down the bombie is the fastest and they are some quick ill tell ya

The only reason I ask about the grizz is because I got 5 buddies that all have the grizz and a few of us other fans are strickly polaris guys, but were always givin each other crap about the machines. My father is one of those guys who just joined the grizz club and he and another buddie of mine firmly believe that the grizz will beat the pants off my sp800 so they bet me $50.00 each to do a qaurter mile run I said your on once mines fully broke in so I will be sure to report back the outcome.
Now as for the can-am 2 of my other buds have the outlander 800s I rode one and let me tell ya It was like being on a roller coaster I punched it and it literally threw me in the seat I got that numb feeling like you get when your on a big coaster
they are extremly fast.................

PoPo is the #1 UTILITY quad. Heavier yes, ride the best yes, true 4 wheel drive yes, best built yes,I LIKE THE BEST YES,fastest no. But that is why they make different one just like different cars. different strokes for different folks!
