I agree...you don't get an 800 and worry about gas mileage! You just bring along a Flat Kolpin Fuel Cell!</end quote></div>
I have a better Idea, put the large 6.5 gas tank from the 376cc Arctic Cat on the 800 Polaris then use the money from not buying a Fuel cell,to buy beer which goes on the rack were the fuel cell would of been now that it does not have to come along for the ride.

I think all the two seat models that PoPo puts out have the 6 gallon tank. I've never come near empty on mine. Most mileage in one day was about 70 or so. My mileage figures are about 18 in the slow technical stuff and 20-22 on the mostly level trail rides. Anyone with a 700 EFI want to chime in? I was wondering what kind of mileage they get as the 2008 X2 comes with either a 500 or 700 EFI.

i guess thats why polaris has such good racks so they can carry the extra gas. i do if im going on a long trip, and since my buddy who has a BF 750 rides w/ me he gets the same fuel milage as i do. granted he has a bigger tank.

In the, "what were they thinking" category, my son's ATP has a 3.5 gallon tank. I made a wood box that holds 3 gas cans that carry 2.5 gallons each. I couple of bungee cords and it stays put. I love the beds of the ATP and X2. PS I made the box because I like to save money. The fuel packs were just too much money between the brackets and the fuel pack itself. I got everything for under $20. The fuel packs are awfully nice though.

Either there is no physical room, or is it a weight issue? Aren't the 700 and 800s dangerously close to a max weight in some states to qualify as an ATV for licensing purposes?

I can't possibly see how much fun it could be to ride the 800 with passenger, beer, and gas can on board. You probably tip the scales at 1500+ lbs! LOL!
At that weight, I would argue that the 500 would be just as much fun as the 800 because all you can do being that top-heavy is straight-line acceleration, no g-force turns, and you better watch that straight-line speed or you'll kill yourself and passenger! (and spill the beer!)LOL!
I read something REALLY STUPID the other day on the rear of a large Ford SUV. It read "Got Power?"
