They seem to be selling quite well on ebay and they claim to have solid customer support and the specs look good. They are 1/4 the price of the Warns.

Some of the guy on these forums use them and seem to like them but I am a little more sceptical.

I have the 2500 Pro model and am quite happy with it! Watertite seal, steel gears, came with the roller fairlead, mounting plate AND wired remote for under $150 w/shipping! great deal and it works great...I did email them asking if their 8 terminal contactor was the same unit that Warn was recalling and they sent me a new 4 terminal unit no questions asked! I didn't even ask for a new one! Excellent customer service!

I just put a Viper 3000 on a friends quad, it mounted easy, it looks good, but I have to say it sounds terrible, real metallic type grinding and loud compared to my free polaris winch. This may mean nothing, but was quite noticable.

yep paying for a sticker

there are always stories of gorrillas breaking and warns pulling them out but there are also stories teh other way around were gorrilla pulls the warn out. you can get parts from the guy on eban in a few days no questions asked. i have had 2 and they are both great. they are the same parts i have one with the wireless remote and one with teh waterproof. the 2500 waterproof series doesn't come with wireless because it is more sealed. they also also have the ones with the rope witch i hope to get soon i don't realy like the cable cutting my hands.

I am considering a 2000lb. used primarily for plowing and various utility needs. I did not know that they made a ROPE winch. Should I consider a rope winch for my purposes?
