Air filter on a 2007 scrambler 500

I never oiled the pre filter on the stock units. Just
wash them when they got dirty. Then I would carefully
blow the main filter out from the inside out with
compressed air. oiling the prefilter can draw oil on to
to main filter making it wet & dirty, then u will have
to buy a new one at the stealer (dealer) because it
is paper & can't be washed out!! The best thing to do
is buy a uni foam filter for your scrammy they have
a pre filter thats foam & a main filter thats foam, also
they last a long time (I had them on both my quads
for years) then all u will be buying will be the filter
oil!! (always oil both parts of the uni filter).
