Default '07 800 Sportsman questions

After about 1000 miles on my 800 I became aware of a steady tapping or loose part noise on the right hand side of the engine. I can only hear it at idle when I'm next to the bike or sitting on it while idling next to a wall and hear the sound deflected back to me. I checked the heatshield and header pipes and they appear tight.

Also, what is the valve stem under the seat above the intake for?

if its the one im thinking, its where a fuel pressure gage goes to check and a release valve. does the sound get louder or go away when it idles up. just wondering if its the timing chain.

Wonder if it sounds like THIS. If so, seems that this noise is very common with the 800. Most (not all) of the ones I've heard on youtube and other videos sound just like it. I don't know exactly what makes the sound, but I've stopped worrying about it.

The ticking sound is normal. Mine does it. Service manager said good to go.
