work lites/vibrations 08 500ho
#1
the work lites are not connected on my quad, but all the wires seem to be there at the lites.inside the hi beam pod there is a 2 prong connector just hanging there i'm thinking this is for the work lite switch. has anyone connected their lites with this? if this is the case all i need is 2 peanut bulbs, switch & power. i can't find my continuity lite to follow the wires. i don,t want to connect them to the tranny for back up lites.
also on the 08 500ho is anyone getting a lot of vibration and noise from the front rack area. i tightened up everthing i could see but still have this noise/vibration.i'm thinking it my be between the front fender and the bottom of the rack where the 2 screws are,i may try rubber mounting the screws.
on another note man they didn't leave much room on the handel bars to mount anything/gps,mirrors,windshield etc. my old polaris was much better.
thanks tux

Do a search on the lights and you will find a lot of information. As far as the vibration, mine seems to do the same but it get's better with some mud packed into the panels

hey guys thanks for the input, but i still do not know what that 2 prong female plug is for in the headlite pod. also i don't have power at the plug as far as seven mins & 2 bulbs go can u explaine a little more. i can run power to a swith and the lites but if that plug is already wired why go to the trouble.as i said at first i don't have a continuity tester and where i live it would cost me more in gas to run to the city than the tester costs.
thanks again

The two wires in the three hole plastic plug are the positive wires for the work light. Pick up a switch take the two wires out of the plug and hook them to a switch, get two bulbs from your local auto store, take the two out of the rear work lights and put the bulbs in all set...three screws and a spot to mount the switch....I can try to get some pics in the next day or two if you wish...pm me....Brian
